A Versatile & Stylish Pod Mod
The latest additions to the VMATE series from VOOPOO include the VMATE Infinity and the VMATE E. While I’ve tested both devices, I believe they deserve individual reviews. In this article, we’ll focus on the VOOPOO VMATE E pod device. This latest member of the VMATE family boasts a sleek and elegant design; let’s delve deeper.
Design Overview: VOOPOO VMATE E
Boasting an impressive aesthetic, the VOOPOO VMATE E kit features a leatherette panel on the front and a polished chrome finish, giving it a stylish and sophisticated appearance. The device includes four LED indicators that display the battery level. Unfortunately, the back lacks the same leatherette finish, making it prone to fingerprints. However, this is only a minor concern. Additionally, the device comes equipped with an adjustable airflow hole on the side and a USB-C charging port at the bottom.
My sole criticism regarding its design is the absence of flat surfaces. I prefer to set my e-cigarettes upright at my desk, which isn’t possible with this device.
I tried a model featuring blue leatherette combined with a gunmetal finish, and I must say it looks fantastic. The build quality distinguishes it from comparable devices like the GeekVape Sonder U or the Vaporesso Osmall.
Device Performance
With a 1200mAh battery, this device provides respectable longevity, easily lasting an entire day, even when using the lower resistance coil. The kit is supplied with both a 1.2ohm and a 0.7ohm pod. I personally preferred the 0.7ohm pod, as I enjoy a restricted direct lung (RDL) draw over a true mouth-to-lung (MTL) experience. The draw is consistent, and versatility is one of its strengths. The adjustable airflow allows every vaper to customize their experience. Plus, the USB-C charging enables a recharge in under an hour, which is quite convenient.
The performance of this kit aligns with many other pod mods on the market; it’s straightforward to set up and operate. With auto draw activation, there are no buttons to worry about, eliminating the risk of burning out a pod while it resides in your pocket.
User-Friendly
As noted in the performance section, using this kit is incredibly easy. Simply remove the pod, fill it through the side port, and wait 5-10 minutes. It’s really that easy. The device operates with auto draw activation and employs USB-C quick charging.
Pricing Details
Priced at £24.99, the VMATE E has a notable £11 increase compared to the VMATE Infinity, but the impressive build quality justifies the price. The VMATE E comes with a snug cap that fits over the pod, keeping it protected from dust and germs. Moreover, it includes an extra pod, allowing users to sample both options before committing to additional purchases.
The pods are reasonably priced at £4.99 for a pack of two, providing good value for money.
Target Demographic
This kit is designed for MTL or RDL vapers seeking a hassle-free experience. It offers a sufficient battery life to last an entire day, even at RDL settings, making it an ideal choice for a first device or a secondary unit for users already owning a larger device.
Final Verdict: VOOPOO VMATE E
Combining style with performance, the VOOPOO VMATE E is an elegant pod mod that performs admirably and looks fantastic. Its 1200mAh battery ensures all-day use, and the quick recharge option via the USB-C port adds to its appeal. While I wouldn’t personally use this kit (as I prefer direct lung vaping), it would be a perfect fit for MTL or RDL vapers.
